Replacement of a cartridge

We recommend to install primary water filters for the coarse and fine filtration of water in places with poor quality of piped water. Sand, rust or metal scales can damage ceramic discs of cartridge and mixer begins to leak.
If you have already installed the mixer and cartridge was damaged, do not worry: it is easy to replace the cartridge.

1) Turn off a cold and a hot water supply.
2) Carefully remove a plastic plug that serves as an indicator of hot/cold water on a handle.
3) Unscrew or loosen a bolt which fixes the handle to the cartridge rod using a hexagon.
4) Remove the handle from the cartridge rod.
5) Carefully unscrew a decorative ring by hand without using any tools.
6) Unscrew a brass hold-down screw with a help of adjustable or gas wrench.
7) Remove the defective cartridge from a body of a mixer.
8) Insert a new cartridge in the body of a mixer. When inserting the cartridge, two big lobes on the cartridge should be matched with the holes in a body of a mixer. If the lobes and the holes don’t match, cartridge will start to leak.
9) Assemble the mixer.
